Indulgent Nutella Cookies Recipe

Ingredients:

1 1/4 cups Nutella, divided use
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 egg
1 egg yolk
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 cup white chocolate chips or candy melts
3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips or candy melts
Instructions:

1. Preparing the Nutella Centers:

Start by using 1 cup of Nutella to create teaspoon-sized dollops on a parchment-lined sheet pan.
Place the dollops in the freezer until firm, ensuring they hold their shape when added to the cookie dough.
2. Preparing the Cookie Dough:

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F and line 2 sheet pans with parchment paper or nonstick silicon baking mats.
In a mixing bowl, combine softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Beat until fluffy, approximately 2-3 minutes.
Add the remaining 1/4 cup of Nutella and vanilla extract to the bowl, mixing until well combined.
Incorporate the egg and egg yolk into the mixture, ensuring thorough blending.
Gradually add the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and baking soda to the bowl, mixing on low speed until the ingredients are just combined.
3. Assembling the Cookies:

Scoop out 1 1/2 tablespoons of cookie dough and roll into a ball.
Flatten each ball of dough with your hands and place a frozen Nutella dollop in the center.
Fold the dough around the Nutella and roll until smooth, forming a disc shape.
Arrange the cookies 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheets.
4. Baking and Decorating:

Place the baking sheets in the freezer for 10-15 minutes to firm up the cookies.
Once firm, transfer the baking sheets to the preheated oven and bake for 10 minutes.
Allow the cookies to cool for 10 minutes on the baking sheets before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
5. Drizzling with Chocolate:
