Ingredients:

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs

1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and pureed
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

4 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Preparing the Cake:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans to prevent sticking.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt until well combined. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy using an electric mixer.
Add the eggs one at a time to the creamed mixture, beating well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla extract until incorporated.
Gradually add the flour mixture to the creamed mixture, alternating with the milk, starting and ending with the flour mixture. Mix until just combined.
Fold in the finely chopped fresh strawberries gently until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
