Amish Hamburger Steaks with Onions & Gravy

4. Shape the mixture into 1/2-inch-thick hamburger steaks and dredge each steak in flour to coat. Brown the steaks in a skillet over medium-high heat, then transfer them to a baking dish.
5. Place the browned hamburger steaks on top of the sliced onion rings in the baking dish.
6. In a separate bowl, whisk together 1 1/2 cups of milk and soup until well combined. Pour this mixture over the hamburger steaks in the baking dish, ensuring the onions are covered with the gravy as well.
7. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes or until the hamburger steaks are cooked through, and the gravy is bubbly and thickened.
8. Once cooked, remove the dish from the oven and let it rest briefly before serving.
Serve with your choice of side dishes, such as mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a salad.
