Black Forest Cookies

In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.

In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until combined.

Fold in chopped cherries and chocolate chunks.

Drop dough by rounded tablespoons onto prepared baking sheets.

Bake for 10-12 minutes or until cookies are set. Let cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
