Philadelphia Cheese Meatloaf 🧀
Directions:
Preheat oven: Start by preheating the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Make the meatloaf mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, eggs, milk, diced onion, green peppercorns, sliced mushrooms, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined.
Layer the meatloaf: Press half of the meat mixture into the bottom of a loaf pan, forming an even layer. Place the provolone slices on top of this layer, making sure a small border is left around the edges to prevent the cheese from getting lost.
Add the remaining meat mixture: Cover the cheese layer with the remaining meat mixture, pressing and sealing the edges to completely encase the cheese.
