2 cups sugar
5 eggs, separated
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup buttermilk
1-1/2 cups flaked coconut
1 cup chopped pecans

3/4 cup butter, softened
4 cups confectioners’ sugar
1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3/4 cup chopped pecans
