BALLS MADE IN A BLENDER

Learn How to Make Delicious and Easy Blender Rice Balls with This Simple Recipe

One popular snack or dinner choice that is both easy to make and tastes great is rice balls, which are called onigiri in Japanese. Using a blender to streamline the process without sacrificing flavor, this dish brings a contemporary twist to the traditional method of hand-shaping rice. You can make wonderfully shaped rice balls with only a few basic ingredients and the power of your blender. They are great to eat on their own or added to other dishes.

Trying New Things in the Kitchen: What You Need:

Sushi rice, cooked, 2 cups

rice vinegar, 2 teaspoons

One tablespoon of sugar, one teaspoon of salt, and optionally, sheets of nori seaweed cut into strips for wrapping

Instructions:
Get the Rice Ready: Start by cooking the sushi rice as directed on the package. After the rice is done, put it in a big bowl and set it aside to cool a bit.

Rice Seasoning: In a separate small dish, mix together the sugar, salt, and rice vinegar. Dissolve the sugar and salt by stirring. Add the vinegar mixture with the seasonings to the cooked rice and stir gently with a spatula until everything is mixed. Allow the rice to cool entirely.

Put the Cooled Rice in a Blender or Food Processor to Make a Smooth Blend. Once the rice starts to clump together and get a little sticky, pulse it a few times. You want the rice to have some texture while still holding its form, so be cautious not to overblend.
