Best cake I’ve tasted so far. This recipe is so simple too! Need to make twice as much next time!


2 cups flour

1 cup sugar

1 cup mayo

1 cup lukewarm water

½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

2 teaspoons baking soda

1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Get that oven warm at 350°F (175°C) and give a casserole dish a good greasing.

Mix together flour, sugar, baking soda, and cocoa in a bowl.

Time to introduce the stars: vanilla, mayo, and lukewarm water. Stir them in until your batter is silky smooth.

Off into the dish your batter goes!

Bake until a toothpick’s grand entrance in the center comes out clean, about 30-35 minutes.

Patience! Let it cool a tad in the dish, then shift it to a wire rack to cool down fully.

To frost or not to frost? Your call!
