STUFFED DONUTS

2 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:

1. Prepare the Donut Dough:

In a small bowl, combine the warm milk and sugar. Sprinkle the yeast over the mixture, stir, and let it sit for 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the yeast mixture, melted butter, eggs, flour, and salt. Knead the dough on a floured surface until it becomes smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-2 hours or until it doubles in size.
2. Shape and Fill the Donuts:

Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/2-inch thickness. Use a round cutter to cut out donut shapes.
Place a teaspoon of your preferred filling (jam, chocolate hazelnut spread, or pastry cream) in the center of half of the donut shapes.
Top each filled donut with another donut shape and press the edges to seal, creating stuffed donuts.
3. Fry the Donuts:

Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or a large, deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
Carefully place the stuffed donuts in the hot oil and fry each side until golden brown, approximately 2-3 minutes per side.
Remove the donuts with a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
4. Make the Glaze:

In a bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Adjust the consistency by adding more sugar or milk if needed.
5. Glaze the Donuts:

Once the stuffed donuts have cooled slightly, dip each one into the glaze, ensuring they are evenly coated.
Place the glazed donuts on a wire rack to allow any excess glaze to drip off.
