Flaky Apple Pie Bars

Ingredients:

◦ 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

◦ 1/2 cup granulated sugar

◦ 1 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed

◦ 4 medium-sized apples, peeled, cored, and sliced

◦ 2 tablespoons lemon juice

◦ 1/2 cup brown sugar

◦ 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

◦ 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

◦ 1/4 teaspoon salt

◦ 1 tablespoon cornstarch

◦ 1/2 cup apple cider

◦ 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13 inch pan with parchment paper.

2. In a food processor, pulse together flour and granulated sugar. Add butter and pulse until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
